Moisturise

Shop Korean moisturisers in Australia, genuine stock dispatched from our Sydney warehouse. Moisturiser is the step that decides whether everything you put on before it actually stays put.

About Korean moisturisers

Korean moisturisers are built around the barrier rather than around heaviness. The idea is that skin loses water constantly, and a moisturiser has two jobs: give it something to hold on to, and slow the rate it escapes. That is why the textures skew lighter than Western creams while still doing the sealing work, and why ceramides, panthenol, centella and collagen turn up so often. A gel cream on oily skin can be doing more than a thick balm, because the barrier is being fed rather than smothered.

It matters most if your skin feels tight after cleansing, if actives like retinol have made you flaky, if you sit in air conditioning all day, or if you have oily skin and have been skipping moisturiser entirely, which usually makes oiliness worse rather than better.

What we stock

Our moisturiser range runs from light gel creams to barrier-repair balms, plus dedicated eye creams:

Shop by skin concern

Dryness and a damaged barrier. Ceramide and panthenol formulas do the repair work here. The AESTURA Atobarrier 365 Cream and the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin are the two barrier specialists, and the Purito Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream is the gentlest of the group.

Firmness and bounce. This is the collagen family: the Medicube Collagen Jelly Cream, the Triple Collagen Cream 4.0, and the PDRN Pink Collagen Capsule Cream, which pairs collagen with salmon-derived PDRN. If you are new to PDRN we explain it in our guide to PDRN in skincare.

Redness and sensitivity. Centella is the calming route. The Centellian24 Madeca Cream, the Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream and the Dr.G Red Blemish Clear Soothing Cream are all built for reactive skin.

Tone and brightness. The Medicube Deep Vita C Capsule Cream and the TXA Niacinamide Capsule Cream target uneven tone, and the AGE-R Glutathione Glow Capsule Cream sits in the same group.

The eye area. Three dedicated options: the Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Eye Cream for hydration, the SKIN1004 Probio-Cica Bakuchiol for a gentle retinol alternative, and the K-Secret Retinal Liposome for something stronger.

How to use a moisturiser

Apply to slightly damp skin, straight after your serum. Damp skin gives the moisturiser water to trap, which is most of the point. Warm it between your fingers first and press it in rather than rubbing, especially around the eyes.

Most people want a lighter texture in the morning under sunscreen and something richer at night. If you are using retinol or acids, moisturiser goes on after them, and applying it before as well is a legitimate way to buffer if your skin is struggling.

Frequently asked questions

I have oily skin, do I need one? Yes. Skipping moisturiser tends to make oiliness worse, because the skin compensates for water loss by producing more oil. Use a gel cream rather than a balm.

Gel cream or rich cream? Gel creams suit oily, combination and humid conditions. Rich creams suit dry, mature or barrier-damaged skin, and most people benefit from switching between them by season.

Do I need a separate eye cream? Not strictly, and your face moisturiser can go around the eyes. A dedicated eye cream is worth it if you want a specific active, like retinal, at a strength the eye area can tolerate.

What order does it go in? Cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser, then sunscreen in the morning. Thinnest to thickest is the general rule.

Can I use a moisturiser with retinol? Yes, and you should. Moisturiser reduces the flaking and tightness that make people abandon retinol in the first week.
