Mask

Shop Korean masks in Australia, genuine stock dispatched from our Sydney warehouse. Masks are the step you add two or three nights a week when your skin needs more than the routine gives it.

About Korean masks

Korean masking splits into a few different formats that do genuinely different jobs, which is worth knowing before you buy. Sheet masks deliver a large dose of essence in one sitting and are mostly about immediate hydration and calm. Sleeping or wrapping masks stay on overnight and act as an occlusive layer, so whatever is underneath keeps working for hours instead of evaporating. Hydrogel and bio-collagen masks sit somewhere between the two, melting into the skin rather than sitting on it. Eye patches target the thin skin around the eyes where creams often feel too heavy.

Masks suit anyone, but they earn their place fastest if your skin looks dull and flat, if you are recovering from a reaction or too much active, or if you want a visible difference before an event rather than in six weeks.

What we stock

Our mask range covers overnight wrapping masks, sheet and bio-collagen masks, eye patches and a lip mask:

Shop by skin concern

Dullness and flat-looking skin. The Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask is the one people notice overnight, and the Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask does the same job as a leave-on layer rather than a sheet.

Uneven tone and dark spots. The Medicube Kojic Acid Turmeric Night Wrapping Mask pairs kojic acid with turmeric for tone, used two or three nights a week rather than nightly.

Hydration and plumpness. The Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask Sheet is the hydrating option and sits in the same PDRN line as the serum and capsule cream. Our Medicube PDRN routine guide shows where the weekly mask fits.

The eye area. Two Abib jelly patches: the PDRN Retinal for firmness, and the Collagen Jericho Rose for hydration without an active.

Dry and flaking lips. The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is the overnight lip treatment, and the one product on this page that suits absolutely everyone.

How to use masks

Sheet and gel masks go on after toner and before serum, on clean skin, for fifteen to twenty minutes. Do not leave them on until they dry out, because a dry sheet pulls moisture back out of the skin. Pat the leftover essence in rather than rinsing.

Wrapping and sleeping masks go on last, after your moisturiser, as the final layer at night. Rinse in the morning. Two or three nights a week is plenty; every night is not better, particularly for the kojic acid one.

Eye patches go on clean skin under your eye cream, and lip masks go on last thing before bed.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I mask? Two or three times a week for most formats. Hydrating sheet masks can be used more often, and actives-based wrapping masks should not be.

Sheet mask or wrapping mask? Sheet masks are a fixed twenty minute dose and are better for a quick reset. Wrapping masks work for the whole night and generally give more visible results by morning.

Can I use a mask with retinol? Not on the same night if the mask contains its own active. A plain hydrating mask on your non-retinol nights is a good pairing, and helps with the flaking.

Do sheet masks need to go in the fridge? No, though chilling one is pleasant and helps with puffiness. It does not change how well it works.
